Our Story

**2020**from a backyard
Airstream

   

In March 2020, with the world on pause, **Mamadou Dhiam** and **Gaby Santos** fired up an Airstream trailer in their garden and started cooking the Italian food they loved — with a twist nobody saw coming.

 

Word travelled. A loyal following grew through festivals and frost fairs across Greater Manchester until, in 2022, Lucky Mama’s found a home in Chorlton — and painted it bright, unapologetic pink. A second spot opened in Monton in 2024.

### The Edible Dough Bowl

 

We mould pizza dough around a metal bowl, bake it golden, then pile it with freshly made pasta. Eat the bowl. Everyone does.

### Made Fresh, Every Day

 

Roman-style dough and Veneto pasta made in-house daily. No shortcuts — just the good stuff, cooked to order.

### Born in Lockdown

 

Started in 2020 from an Airstream in an Eccles back garden. Word-of-mouth did the rest. Now we paint Chorlton pink.
